Mississippi Headwaters Guide Book (1995, 80 pages) Text by Molly MacGregor Illustrations by Peter L. Card III. Mississippi Headwaters Guide Book helps the reader find the treasures of the Mississippi River's first 400 miles in northern Minnesota. The guide is illustrated by four-color maps depicting recreation sites, historic locations, plants and animals of the river, such as timber wolf, orchids, snapping turtle and osprey.
